Advance is a charitable business providing housing, support and employment services to meet the needs of people in the community who have either a learning disability or a mental health problem. Advance started in 1974 with its main offices located in Witney, West Oxfordshire, where we remain today.
We became known as Advance Housing and Support Ltd in 1993, adapting and modifying our services and organisational structure in response to changes in the external environment, and in accordance with the needs and wishes of people we house or support.
Today Advance provides services to more than 4,200 people, including small-scale residential care homes, supported living services, shared ownership homes, community support services, day services and employment options; employs about 700 people and has a revenue turnover of more than £35 million per annum (2010/11). |
