'Week' can all get involved says housing company
|
| Tuesday 14th July 2009 |
A massive week-long event to give over 22,000 households in Gateshead the opportunity to 'get involved' is being planned for this October.
The Gateshead Housing Company's 'Opportunity knocks' week, from Monday, 19 to Friday, 23 October, will see many of its employees getting 'out there' to talk to customers across the borough.
It is hoped to raise the profile of the many ways that customers can get involved in making their estates, homes and housing services even better.
The housing company already offers many ways for customers to get involved and influence its future, from filling in a questionnaire, through to joining its Board.
On each of the five days, events will be held across the borough, including:
* Estate clean up days
* Estate Tours
* An involvement roadshow
* School activities
* Drop-ins at multi-storey and sheltered accommodation.
Louise Taylor, Involvement Officer for the company, said: "We have literally thousands of customers getting involved each year in making the services everyone receives better.
"But we want to work with even more people to make a difference, and give them the satisfaction that what they are doing is improving thousands of others' home lives."
Information about the event, as well as the ever-increasing events programme, is online or by contacting the Involvement Team. |
