GHA company secretary named among UKs top 100

Glasgow Housing Association’s Gordon Moir has been named as one of the UK’s top 100 lawyers, according to an influential magazine.
‘The Lawyer’ selected GHA’s company secretary as one of the 100 lawyers who ‘have been at the top of their game throughout the economic crisis’.

Gordon was one of the youngest lawyers included in the prestigious list – and one of only seven lawyers from the public sector selected by the magazine’s judges.
GHA’s company secretary was one of four Scots named among Britain’s elite.
Gordon, 38, joined the GHA executive team in November last year from British Telecommunications plc where he was General Counsel to the Retail Division and ran the global anti-trust and regulatory teams working on a complex range of legal and regulatory issues.
After graduating from Aberdeen University and the College of Europe in Belgium, Gordon worked in Glasgow, New Zealand, Brussels and London.
Gordon said: “For me personally, it is a great honour to be included on this list of individuals – many of whom I have come across and have enormous respect.
“It is both an exciting and challenging time to be part of GHA as we look to devolve more power to our tenants.
“It will provide me with an opportunity to use the full range of skills I have developed in legal, regulatory, public affairs and governance expertise to drive GHA forward.”
GHA chief executive Martin Armstrong said: “It is a tremendous honour for Gordon and he should be very proud of this achievement.
“Gordon has a key role to play in GHA’s new direction. It is also further evidence that we look to employ the very best in their field.” |
