|
| Tuesday 2nd November 2010 |
More than 100 film clips setting out the hopes and priorities of young people for the future of the country will be delivered to Prime Minister David Cameron today (Thurs).
The YouTube-style footage has been filmed by citizen journalists as part of a project by youth engagement website www.socialbreakfast.org
The 'Dear PM' project has seen citizen journalists' interview young people across the Midlands about the issues that really matter to them, including crime, health and the cost of tuition fees.
Now the 20 second clips will delivered to Number 10 at 12pm today (Thurs) by 22 year-old Alicia Maragh from Smethwick, who contributes to and helps run the socialbreakfast site.
Alicia, said: "No one can say young people are apathetic after watching these clips. Throughout this project young people demonstrated innovation, passion and creativity and some really interesting views have been captured.
"We really hope that David Cameron finds time to listen to them - and respond."
You can view the clips by going to www.socialbreakfast.org. The site was set up by Ashram Housing Association, part of the Accord Group of housing associations based in the West Midlands. |
