A new housing scheme by Yorkshire Housing in partnership with Barnsley Council and Berneslai Homes is set to provide 66 new affordable sustainable homes in the New Lodge area of the town.
The scheme will see existing difficult to let and unsustainable housing stock which is managed by Berneslai Homes on behalf of Barnsley Council, replaced with a brand new development of highly sustainable homes, helping tenants save money on their energy and utility bills.
In total, around 150 new homes have been ear marked for the area and are being developed over a split phased development schedule. Phase 1 began on-site in March 2009 and is set to complete by the middle of 2010. |
