Wulvern Housing - Knowledge Transfer Partnership ignites innovation
|
| Wednesday 28th January 2009 |
We are delighted to announce that Wulvern and MMU Cheshire have been awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is one of the UK's leading programmes, helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base.
Funded by the Technology Strategy Board, the project will support Wulvern and MMU Cheshire in working jointly to address key developmental areas within the housing sector.
A core aim of the project will be to reduce void properties and rent losses and to improve the quality of the housing stock, through more rigorous monitoring and evaluation.
The KTP Partnership will develop a sophisticated diagnostic tool which Wulvern will use to enhance core operations, focusing actions and investments in construction, repair and modernisation to improve demand, customer satisfaction and neighbourhood improvement.
Wulvern’s core strategies will be supported by improved data capture and analysis, steering future investments in planning, housing developments and maintenance, supporting Neighbourhood Regeneration and wider green issues for future investments.
The partnership will be engaging a full time “KTP Associate” to deliver the project working under guidance from the MMU Cheshire Interdisciplinary Departments and the Wulvern team.
Wulvern’s Assistant Director of Development and Regeneration, Carl Barber said “We are looking forward to collaborating with a world class university to enhance our business. It is particularly exciting as Wulvern is the only social housing organisation in Cheshire to be awarded a KTP”. |
