Work commences on £2 Million Housing Development at Murray Place, Barrhead

The £2 million development is being built by Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association as part of the regeneration of the area and will provide 16 high quality amenity homes for rent to active older people.

The development is a partnership project between East Renfrewshire Council and Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association. The project has been funded by way of private finance through Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association and a grant from the Scottish Government.

The development is scheduled to be completed by December 2010.

Douglas Boyd, Chairperson of Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association said, ‘we are delighted that this new development is now on site. The 16 units will provide much needed housing for rent in Barrhead and contribute to the on-going regeneration of the area’.
