Sanctuary Care is delighted to announce the appointment of James Lancaster as its Regional Manager for the East.
James has joined the leading care provider\'s senior management team and will be managing nine of its 42 older person\'s care homes.
A keen photographer and former musician, James has a proven track record in the care sector. Speaking about his career he said: \"Although I initially trained as a professional musician I was inspired, after working with older people through music therapy, to move into the field of elderly care.
\"I started my career in care as an activities coordinator and worked across a number of homes, developing meaningful resident-centred activity programmes before moving into care home management.\"
He added: \"I was attracted by Sanctuary Care\'s vision and values and I also know people who work for the organisation who speak extremely positively about the work they are doing.
\"Sanctuary Care is already well known for its commitment to activities provision and with my background, I will be looking to see if I can further develop this area because I am very passionate about the holistic approach to care.\"
Len Merton, Sanctuary\'s Director of Care said: \"I am delighted to welcome James to Sanctuary Care. He has rapidly developed his career since he started out as an activities coordinator, before moving into care home management. He has a successful track record of developing homes to extremely high standards and achieving excellent ratings and is a very effective leader and motivational person.\"
