WHA Receive North of England Business Excellence Award

We are delighted to announce that Warrington Housing Association has come up trumps in the finals of the prestigious North of England Business Excellence Awards 2007, winning the special award for Customer Results in recognition of their commitment and drive to continuously improve the services they provide to the people of Warrington.

Often described as the \'business Oscars\', the awards are open to private, public and non-profit organisations of all sizes. All are subject to rigorous assessment over a number of months by a team of independent, specially trained assessors. The winners were announced at the annual awards ceremony last night at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.

David Teale, chief executive of award organisers North of England Excellence, said: \"It is good to see that so many organisations are committed to running their operation according to the principles of business excellence.

\"Entering the awards gives organisations the chance to get feedback from independent assessors, to monitor their progress and identify areas for further improvement. It is also an excellent way to build credibility and achieve recognition within the local community.\"

Last year Warrington Housing Association became the second Housing Association to attain the Investors in Excellence standard. Assessed by the British Quality Foundation, this standard is only achieved by organisations who can demonstrate they are driving excellence through all aspects of their operation.
