Thrive Homes - Celebrations as 100th property is improved
|
| Friday 9th January 2009 |
To mark the first milestone in our improvement programme, Thrive Homes and United House (our partnering contractor) presented the lucky resident with flowers and a cheque for £200 to the charity of her choice. Ms Elsie Duggan donated the money to the West Hyde & Maple Cross Youth Centre which holds a special place in her heart - her children enjoyed going there when they were young.
Over the next five years, Thrive Homes' property improvement programme has promised to deliver around 2000 replacement kitchens and 1500 bathrooms as well as heating and electrical upgrades. All our internal improvement works will be completed in the first three years, by the end of 2010. The final two years of the programme will focus on external improvements. After the initial five year plan is completed, there will be a rolling programme of improvements from 2013.
Jo Barrett, Property Director of Thrive Homes said "with more than 100 people now enjoying their newly-refurbished homes, our investment plans are really starting to take shape. The project is the initial part of our overall investment plan to improve the lives of residents day on day."
United House is Thrive Home's sole Decent Homes delivery partner. Jeffrey Adams, Chief Executive of United House said: "We will be working closely with Thrive Homes to make sure that the remaining work is carried out as quickly and smoothly as possible." |
