Reaccreditation as a Charter Mark organisation

Saturday 29th March 2008
Progress Housing Group has received official recognition for its commitment to customer care for the 14th year running.

The Leyland-based Housing Group, which oversees the management of over 5000 properties by its subsidiaries Progress Care Housing Association and New Progress Housing Association, has received reaccreditation as a Charter Mark organisation.

The Charter Mark is awarded to organisations in the public sector that can show a real commitment to customer service and its ongoing review and improvement. The Group first secured the prestigious accolade in 1997.

Progress was congratulated on its commitment to consulting and engaging customers and promoting fair and accessible services; it was also commended for its commitment to continuous improvement.

Eric Hughes, Head of Governance at Progress Housing Group said: "We are extremely pleased to have been reaccredited with the Charter Mark Award. The standard recognises our commitment to customer service and provides a clear benchmark for us against other organisations helping us to improve and drive up the quality of our services."

The group also holds an Investor in People award for staff training and development, the ISO 9001 accreditation from the British Standards Institute, and Positive About Disabled People accreditation.
