Raven’s new chief executive
|
| Wednesday 1st September 2010 |
Jonathan comments, ‘I’m joining Raven at a time when the need for affordable housing in the south east has never been greater. I am looking forward to working with residents, staff, the board and our many partners to grow and improve the homes and communities in which we work in and around east Surrey. Raven has high standards and a good reputation, particularly for its innovative environmental work, and this is something we will continue to build on together.’
Jonathan rounded off his first week by meeting the new chief executive of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, John Jory. The two discussed the challenges facing the Borough, and housing in particular, in the face of the constraints on public expenditure. Both were encouraged by the prospect of working together to meet these challenges for the benefit of local communities.
Redhill-based Raven manages more than 6,000 homes in and around Redhill. It was formed in 2002 following a stock transfer from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. Raven is an award-winning housing association with a national reputation for environmental innovation. It is a high performing housing association which was awarded two stars with promising prospects from the Audit Commission in 2008.
Jonathan replaces Nicholas Harris as Raven’s chief executive, who served as chief executive for eight years. |
