New members for Acis Board

Friday 6th May 2011
Two new members have been appointed to the Board of Lincolnshire based housing association, Acis Group.

Acis, who own and manage over 5,000 homes across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, appointed Julie Flint and Katrina Reid following the retirement of a former Board member late last year and with the current Chairman stepping down in September.

Both new members of the Acis Board are highly experienced professionals. Julie Flint has worked in the finance sector for 30 years, starting out at Lincolnshire County Council. Julie has since worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and then the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, holding various head of division positions. Since 2006, Julie has been in the role of Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Lincolnshire Police Authority on a secondment basis.

Katrina Reid began her working life as a teacher and lecturer in Economics. Following this, Katrina worked for the Civil Service as an Economic Advisor for nine years, and then for the Department for Education and Skills and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills in head of division roles. Since retiring from the senior Civil Service in 2010, Katrina has been appointed as Visiting Research Fellow in Enterprise at Aston University.

Valerie Waby, Chief Executive of Acis, commented:
"Our two new Board members bring a wealth of experience to Acis. They are committed to developing the company as it enters its next stage of development and I look forward to working with them in the coming months."
