New Framework Agreement

Tuesday 16th October 2007
New Framework Agreement will bring better services for residents

Signpost Housing Association and Signpost Services Limited have signed up to a new five-year Framework Agreement worth more than £28 million. The agreement will reduce administration and speed up procurement processes. This will mean better services for residents of Signpost Housing Association and Signpost Care Partnerships.

The terms of the agreement adopt the principles of collaboration, working in partnership, continuous improvement and best value. The agreement allows for flexibility combined with effective monitoring and control. It also defines clearly the roles and responsibilities of the two organisations.

The benefits for residents of Signpost Housing Associations and Signpost Care Partnerships are already being felt:
* 100% of appointments are adhered to;
* 80% of jobs are completed at the first visit;
* 88% of requests for repair get an appointment; and
* the average time taken to complete a job (excluding emergencies) is 9 days.

Yogesh Vadgama, Asset Manager for Signpost Housing Association said, "This is one part of our overall aim of bringing together all the teams to provide a comprehensive and efficient set of services that meets needs and standards now and in the future. There's still a lot of work to do but with resident satisfaction with the repairs service increasing from 88% last year to 96% now, we're clearly moving in the right direction."
