New Chief Executive Has Strong Plans for the Future of Sedgemoor's Housing

Tuesday 20th September 2011
New Chief Executive of Homes in Sedgemoor John Holman, wants to keep Homes in Sedgemoor's track record of improvement going and make Sedgemoor's Council housing services some of the best in the country.

John joined Homes in Sedgemoor, the Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that manages over 4,200 homes owned by Sedgemoor District Council in September. The new Chief Executive who has led a number of housing organisations and comes with a wealth of experience in the sector, immediately set out his strong ambitions for the future.

John Holman said: 'I have joined Homes in Sedgemoor to lead its continued journey of success, improving the housing stock, services and the involvement of tenants in what we do.

In the current environment we have done brilliantly in securing £25 million of Decent Homes Funding and delivering a quality improvements programme will be key to our future. Alongside this we will be looking to make things simpler and work in collaboration with other organisations throughout the district. This will help us to play a broader role in the communities we work with.

I look forward to meeting many of our customers at our annual Tenants' Event in October, and encourage residents to come along and share with us their views, experiences and priorities for the future.'
