New affordable housing in Kidlington
|
| Sunday 17th January 2010 |
A state of the art development in Kidlington is bringing much needed affordable housing to the area.
Charter Community Housing, a member of leading housing provider Sanctuary Group, has developed 36 properties on a site in Kidlington. The development, known as Bramley Close, provides a mixture of high quality, rented and shared ownership accommodation, ideal for local people looking to find affordable homes in the Oxfordshire region.
The project was a result of a successful working partnership with Cherwell District Council, McCann Homes, David Stewart Architects and Turner and Townsend Cost Consultants
Set in landscaped, courtyard style grounds with allocated parking, the development comprises 22 one, two, three and four bedroom houses and 14 flats, all built to a Code for Sustainable Homes level 3. Features include fully-fitted kitchens, an advanced heating system which will provide highly cost-effective heating facilities for residents and solar panels for efficient water heating.
Jonathan Mullins, regional development manager for Sanctuary Group said: "Charter is committed to providing high quality affordable housing that meets the needs of local people and we have worked very hard with our partners to deliver a scheme in Kidlington that we can all be proud of.
"The site will provide the area with much needed accommodation for local residents and we look forward to welcoming our new tenants into their homes." |
