Manchester MCC - East Manchester: transfer of council housing

Wednesday 4th March 2009
Tenants say YES!

Council tenants in Ardwick, Gorton, Levenshulme, Longsight and Rusholme have voted overwhelmingly to transfer their homes and estates to a local not-for-profit landlord - Eastlands Homes.

The result of the four week ballot was:
YES to Transfer: 80.7%

Turnout: 70.7%

It's now full steam ahead for the transfer in early 2009. If you live in the area you will see every home transformed; brighter, safer estates and a better quality of life for everyone.
