Independent survey again names Housing Trust as an outstanding employer

A Cheshire housing association's commitment to staff engagement has seen it named as an outstanding employer for the third year running.

An independent survey of Trust staff by Best Companies has again awarded Weaver Vale Housing Trust with an 'outstanding' two-star status for its forward thinking approach to staff engagement and development.

The Trust is also thrilled to have improved on its employee engagement score from last year highlighting its continued commitment to improving how it works with its staff.

The housing association, which employs over 300 staff, has now achieved two-star status in its first three surveys by Best Companies, which looks to showcase companies that excel in communicating and working positively with their staff.

Steve Jennings, Chief Executive of Weaver Vale Housing Trust, said: "The most important part of this accreditation is that it comes from feedback provided by our staff. This shows the level of enthusiasm and dedication our staff have for the work they do.

"To retain this award for the third year running and to improve on our employee engagement score from the previous year shows that we are committed to being a great place to work."

Over 1000 organisations across the UK annually apply for the national accreditation, which sees a cross section of employees surveyed voluntarily and in complete confidence.

They are asked for their views on various aspects of their work from leadership and management, to well being and personal growth.

"The Trust's success would not be possible without our staff and their motivation to deliver the best possible service to our customers," said Steve Jennings.
