One of the largest affordable housing providers in Colchester has been celebrating after achieving the Investors in People status for the third time.
Staff at Colne Housing gathered together to see the unveiling of the new plaque which was revealed by Colchester MP Bob Russell.
He says “I came here initially in 2003 and I think it’s a remarkable achievement of consistency over the years, to not only gain the status but to retain it on two further occasions This is a wonderful accolade for each member of staff ”.
Colne Housing’s Chief Executive Mark Powell Davies says “It’s important to invest in our staff through training and development to ensure they provide the best service to our residents.”
The Investors in People status is not the only honour Colne Housing has received for its level of service. Last year the company scooped the award for its staff training and development at the Essex Business Awards.
Employees at the fast growing housing association receive extensive training and support to enable them to improve their level of service to residents and progress within the company.
Supported Housing Manager Clare Lawrance has been promoted twice in eight years service after successfully completing numerous learning programmes. She says “Colne has supported me for eight years. The support and training I have been given here has developed my career and helped make me more confident both personally and professionally”. |
