HOMELESS HOSTEL OPENS ITS DOORS

BOSTON Mayflower’s new hostel for single homeless people has opened its doors.
The hostel, which features accommodation and support including eight fully furnished rooms, opened yesterday (July 5).
The housing association received funding for the project from Lincolnshire County Council’s Supporting People scheme.

Boston Mayflower’s Lettings Manager Deborah Tempest said: “We identified a suitable building in North Street, Boston, then got refurbishment works underway.
“Our hostel will provide support for people who are aged over 18 and require support to sustain a tenancy.
“People who come to live at the hostel must have a willingness to share communal facilities and work positively with staff.
“We are assisting people who live there with life skills such as budgeting and cooking - and will support them to secure permanent housing in the future.”
Since it was founded 10 years ago Boston Mayflower has built a strong reputation in the local area for providing affordable housing and giving support to vulnerable people.
This new development builds on its expertise in these areas.
