HOMELESS HOSTEL OFFICIALLY OPENS DOORS

Thursday 12th August 2010
BOSTON Mayflower’s new hostel for single homeless people has officially opened its doors.
The hostel, Mayflower House, features accommodation and support - including eight fully furnished rooms.
It was officially opened by the building’s owner, David Medlock.
The housing association received funding for the project from Lincolnshire County Council’s Supporting People scheme.
Boston Mayflower’s Lettings Manager Deborah Tempest said: “We feel the opening event held at Mayflower House went extremely well.
“Many different local organisations and agencies attended - and many people said they were very impressed with both the event and the Mayflower House homeless hostel.
“We would like to thank all those who came along, as they helped make the day a very special one.”
Since it was founded 10 years ago Boston Mayflower has built a strong reputation in the local area for providing affordable housing and giving support to vulnerable people.
This new development builds on its expertise in these areas.
