Fifteen New Affordable Homes Officially Opened at Huntspill Road Highbridge

Clear blues skies and bright early spring sunshine shone when South Western Housing Society officially opened their new 15 housing project at Huntspill Road in Highbridge.

The new homes have been built by Southwestern Housing Society on the site of a former car lot at the gateway to Highbridge. The collaboration of the housing society and Sedgemoor District Council, and a further investment in excess of £1million public grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency, the national housing and regeneration agency was needed to build these homes.

The society's board members and staff were joined by Sedgemoor District Council Chairman Councillor Jane Moreton, officers from the Council's Affordable Housing Team and representatives from the local community to celebrate the opening of this new housing development.
