Festival shortlisted for 'Employer of the year'

Malvern-based Festival Housing is celebrating having beaten off stiff competition to be short-listed for an employer of the year award.

The 2008 Chamber Awards given out by the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce are designed to recognise good practice by local businesses. Festival Housing is one of three organisations to be short-listed and are proud to be part of such a select group.

Kay Dovey, Head of Human Resources at Festival comments: "We are really pleased to have been given this recognition as a good employer in our local community. Festival is a flexible employer that recognises people are the core of our business and we are proud of the 500 strong staff who carry out our business."

Festival Housing Group consists of Elgar and Spa Housing associations and Property Care Partnership and are one of the largest employers in the Malvern area.

Kay Dovey continues "It is a great tribute to our staff that we are nominated for this award and we are now hoping to celebrating a fantastic win."
