Festival Housing - Affordable homes in difficult times

Saturday 28th February 2009
Council members, architects, developers and solicitors will join Festival Housing Group this week to launch a new scheme of affordable housing in Bromsgrove.

Maple Court, a new housing development in Finstall Bromsgrove, consists of 24 two bedroom apartments for both shared ownership and intermediate rent.

Spa Housing Association, part of Festival Housing Group marked the launch of this new development with a coffee morning for all involved parties to view the show home and tour the development.

Clare Huyton, Executive Director of Festival Housing commented: "Maple Court is a much needed development of affordable housing for Bromsgrove. What is fantastic is that this development is not only open to those wishing to find an affordable way on to the property ladder but we are also offering rented accommodation below the market rate.

"Spa Housing currently owns and manages over 3000 properties in Worcestershire and is proving to be a good quality provider of affordable housing during the economic downturn. We would encourage anyone searching for a high quality affordable home to come and see this fantastic new development."

Properties available for intermediate rent will be rented out at a reduced cost; the new tenants can expect to pay 20% less per calendar month, when compared to equivalent accommodation from the private sector.
