Celebration as two major projects in the South East reach completion
|
| Friday 27th June 2008 |
The Deputy Mayor of Crawley joined residents and Guinness employees last week to celebrate the completion of two major projects in the South East region.
London Fields House, now known as Newfield House, has undergone a major refurbishment programme, transforming a 1980's built block of flats into a contemporary living space, with flats having brand new kitchens and modern bathrooms, a digital TV facility, a video operated door entry system, and a beautiful fully landscaped courtyard. Once a no-go area, residents now have a fantastic space in which to relax and enjoy the summer sun.
The 2nd development is Woodfield Lodge and Clarke House, and these new build schemes offer over 60 properties, available for rent and purchase through the Newbuild HomeBuy scheme.
The Guinness Partnership is particularly proud of the fact that 5 of the top floor flats feature renewable energy facilities, with solar panels providing the hot water - evidence of The Partnership's commitment to not only providing high quality housing, but also to exploring sustainable energy supplies, which benefit both residents and the environment.
The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Brenda Burgess cut a ceremonial ribbon at Newfield House and took time to compliment everyone involved in what she described as a "fantastic development". |
