A FRIENDLY character, seen out and about in Boston at events held in conjunction with one of the town’s housing associations, is making a plea to children.
Boston Mayflower’s mascot, a friendly Pilgrim, has been busy running around town joining in with events held by Boston Borough Council, Asda and the housing association itself over the past few months.
His most recent personal appearance came at St Nicholas Primary School, where he informed children about Boston Mayflower’s project to install new play equipment and a Multi-Use Games Area in Wellington Road.
But so far he has done all of this without a name!
An appeal has now been issued for all youngsters under the age of 13 to suggest a name for this larger than life character.
And the reward? The housing association has teamed up with Boston’s WHSmith store to run this competition, with some great prizes up for grabs.
The person who comes up with a winning name will receive a £20 voucher to use at WHSmith, while one runner-up will get a £10 gift voucher for the store.
