| Monday 3rd November 2008 |
Measuring performance across key areas of housing management and maintenance, Bromford Living was one of only four associations across the country to achieve the highest score possible. The Housing Corporation report said, 'Bromford Living, with the best possible score of five, appeared yet again, having been a top performer every year since 1999/00.'
Nick Cummins, Group Executive Director for Bromford Group, said: "This achievement is only possible through the teamwork of dedicated colleagues and their commitment to continuously improve performance for our customers. Our customers also play a vital role helping shape the way we do things, it is this wider teamwork between colleagues and customers that enables Bromford to shine through as a national leader year after year. We also continue to strive in providing homes and communities where people really want to live."
Performance Indicators (PIs) provide a measure against which local authorities, housing associations, service users, auditors, inspectors and others can judge how well a landlord is performing. Over time, they also form the basis for promoting and assessing continuous improvement.
Overall the report found that across the country the performance of housing associations was improving, the percentage of vacant stock available for letting has dropped from 0.91% to 0.60% since 2002/03. Rent arrears have also dropped from 5.2% to 4.8% since 2004/05, and repairs completed on time had gone up from 94.1% to 95.7% since 2002/03. |
