BECHA Drug and Alcohol Support

Monday 12th April 2010
We are delighted to announce that we have a new service that can offer support for housing issues to tenants and owner occupiers in Bexley who have drug and/or alcohol dependency.

The service is located at 298 Broadway, Bexleyheath. It is available from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. There are also open surgeries at Signpost in Erith Health Centre on Tuesday mornings and at the Lakeside Medical Centre on Friday afternoons.

We offer support for benefits claims, welfare rights, and financial difficulties with bills. We can help with filling in forms and liaising with housing associations and other landlords regarding repairs and maintenance.

The qualified staff are able to understand the difficulties that dependency on drugs or alcohol may do to a person and their ability to cope with a tenancy. They work with the clients to provide support to decrease the dependency in conjunction with other professionals and reduce the risk of homelessness
