Tenants and residents living in Stainforth, Doncaster are going to see a safer and cleaner village, for an award winning project is going to be working in the area for three weeks.

Neighbourhood Alliance, which recently received a Certificate of Merit in awards run by the Home Office to mark the commitment and dedication of the organisations involved in the work to improve communities and give residents a sense of pride in their area, will start its work in Stainforth on Monday (January 16) and runs until February 3.

The work is carried out by staff from a number of agencies including South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire, St Leger Homes, Doncaster Council, and other agencies and will cover the New Park Estate, Large Square, Coronation Road, Church Road, Ashfield Grove and Princess Avenue

Stainforth is the 20th area the project will have been to, and I really hope the local community will get involved. This is what the project is all about; listening to the local communities and involving them so they are reassured their concerns are being listened to and in partnership, we will do our utmost to tackle them."

Susan Jordan, chief executive of St Leger Homes of Doncaster, said: "Our staff will be working hard in Stainforth to tackle any issues that our tenants have."
