Association Manager Wins Top National Care Award
|
| Thursday 4th June 2009 |
The National Care Awards, organised by the top care management magazine 'Caring Times', are the longest running and most prestigious awards of the care sector. The awards are now in their tenth year and attract a wide range of sponsorship from the care, IT, banking and legal sectors.
To celebrate the 2008 National Care Awards, around 1000 guests from all areas of the UK's care sector gathered at the Hilton Metropole Hotel London for a Gala Dinner hosted by the popular television personality Tony Robinson. This year has seen the biggest and brightest Awards, with more entries than ever before. The Association's very own Very Sheltered Housing Manager, Hayley Chesire from Levington Court, Lowestoft had been nominated as the Nation's best 'Independent Living Manager'. As part of the nomination process Hayley was interviewed, assessed on her values and skills, as well as being filmed and photographed.
Hayley's nomination was in recognition of her dedication and work with older people to ensure that they are able to continue living as independently as possible; making the daily choices many of us take for granted, whilst benefiting from a safe and supportive environment.
The Association is delighted and very proud to report that on the night Hayley scooped top honours as the Nation's Best Independent Living Manager 2008. |
