Aspiring homeowners are being invited to attend a special drop-in event hosted by Peterborough's largest housing association.

| Monday 16th January 2012 |
Cross Keys Homes is holding the evening event on Thursday (January 19) between 5.30pm and 8pm at its head office in Shrewsbury Avenue providing a unique face-to-face opportunity to find out more about shared ownership, a scheme which allows people to buy a property in stages and rent the remaining share, making home ownership much more accessible and affordable.
Cross Keys Homes' chief executive, Mick Leggett, said: "Home ownership can only be a dream for many at the present time but shared ownership can turn that dream into reality. We have seen many first time buyers, families looking for larger homes and people that have been through separations access home ownership through our shared ownership scheme. I would encourage all those that think that owning a home may be out of their reach to attend and let us see if we can help."
There will be Cross Keys Homes experts, an independent financial advisor and solicitor on hand to explain the sales, financial and legal processes involved.
The housing association will be showcasing detailed plans and pictures of new and future developments such as Thorpe Green, Atherstone Avenue and Cardea, Stanground as well as previous case studies from those who have already bought their new home through shared ownership.
Cross Keys Homes' home sales manager, Khuram Kaur, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is unsure of what other options they have when it comes to finding a home, other than renting or buying a house on the private market which is now a distant dream for many, due to the large mortgage deposits required. This event will explain how shared ownership works, showcase the schemes becoming available and will also provide stories from those who are currently in the process of buying their own home with us." |
