The Arlington team has been awarded a Housing Heroes 2012 Award for Ground Breaking Service Team of the Year. The team was presented with the prestigious award at a special ceremony on Friday 11 May 2012 at the Hilton, Park Lane.
The Housing Heroes Awards, organised by Inside Housing, acknowledge the “unsung heroes” of the housing sector who make a positive impact in their workplaces and communities.

The accolade recognises Arlington’s dynamic and innovative approach in tackling the challenging issues of homelessness.
Head of Arlington Jason Pryce-Kennedy said: “The award is a fantastic achievement for Arlington. The Arlington team is a dynamic, motivated team who are committed to tackling homelessness, worklessness and assisting our customers to realise their hopes and aspirations. We are extremely proud that our commitment to supporting our customers has been recognised. I would like to thank the team for their hard work and dedication in making this possible.”
Based in Camden, Arlington offers extensive care and support to customers as well as high quality accommodation. It provides a mixed community of 95 supported housing units for the homeless, 35 submarket rental studios for working people on low income and an extensive social economy hub with training and employment opportunities.
Within the last six months, the team at Arlington has supported over 25 customers in getting their lives back on track and moving on to independent living.
Arlington’s success is due to its inspirational team who have a very wide range of skills and expertise, from specialist knowledge regarding working with customers with varying degrees of support needs and issues with drug and alcohol addiction to top class facilities management, project management and relationship management. The team have worked together in a multi-faceted and multi-skilled environment, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with its social economy partners. |
