A2 Housing get the 'green light'
|
| Sunday 23rd December 2007 |
South-east based housing association A2 Housing Group has received four green lights in its recent assessment by the Housing Corporation.
In particular, A2 was commended for its commitment to equality, and was praised for its new strategy recently implemented to promote diversity. The assessment also praised A2 for its increase in resident involvement activities, giving tenants greater opportunity to shape services.
A2 Housing Group received 'green lights' in all four aspects of the assessment, meaning that the association fully complies with the Regulatory Code:
The group demonstrates a good performance by achieving and exceeding its annual targets, maintaining good progress against targets during the year and delivering quality housing that meets the standards.
A2 Housing Group Chief Executive John Knevett commented:
"I am thrilled that the hard work and efforts made by A2 Housing Group has been recognised. The assessment proves our dedication to our residents in providing high standards of service for their benefit. 2008 promises to be a busy year, and we will continue to strive for excellence."
Every housing association with more than 250 homes is continuously assessed by the Corporation on its performance under the Government's Regulatory Code. The inspection judges viability, governance, management, and development, monitoring how well the Government funding has been spent by the association.
The Housing Corporation's judgments are summarised in a Housing Corporation Assessment (HCA), which play a central role in the organisation's regulation of the sector. |
