Yorkshire Coast Homes is a charitable organisation known as a Housing Association. In 2003 tenants of Scarborough Borough Council took the decision to transfer from the Local Authority to this new independent organisation. In doing so the long term future of these properties could be decided and a full investment program initiated to bring the homes up to the Government’s Decent Homes Standard.
Yorkshire Coast Homes’ purpose is to provide high quality, well managed homes for rent to people who need them. We aim to provide you with the best possible housing service including property repairs, maintenance, estate management, care support and customer involvement in return for a reasonable rent. Our staff will be polite and helpful at all times, answering your queries promptly and accurately.
Yorkshire Coast Homes is spending over £55 million over the next five years to ensure that every one of its homes meets the Government’s decency standard. This includes internal improvements such as new fitted kitchens and bathrooms and new central heating systems. External works include new doors, re-roofing and new double-glazed windows. |
