Yarlington Housing Group is a housing association. They are an independent, not for profit organisation, known more formally as a registered provider (RP). Their day-to-day operations are managed by paid staff, but an unpaid Board made up of members from the local community directs our activities as a social landlord.
We offer homes to singles, couples and families, together with homes and support for vulnerable and older people. We own, manage and maintain over 8000 homes in Yeovil, Chard, Wincanton, Langport and the surrounding villages. We also have 52 older person's schemes, ten of which are extra care, which provide housing and care for 1600 residents.
Yarlington Housing Group reports to its own Board. The Board consists of 10 independent members, of whom 2 are tenants. Their services are voluntary and their aim is to provide a total commitment to affordable housing.
We employ about 260 staff, based primarily at Yeovil, either within the headquarters office or at the repairs office. |
