Wulvern Housing is a Housing Association with properties for rent in South Cheshire. We have homes in Crewe, Nantwich and surrounding villages.
Housing Associations are non profit making organisations run by voluntary committees to provide affordable homes for people in housing need. They are also known as registered social landlords (RSLs). Wulvern is governed by a Board of 15 volunteers from a cross section of the community, including some of our tenants.
In March 2003, Wulvern was formed to receive the transfer of the housing stock from Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council, following a successful ballot of all tenants. This process is called a “Large Scaled Voluntary Transfer” (LSVT) and a high number of Local Authorities have now transferred their council housing stock in this way.
Wulvern Housing provides a choice of high quality affordable accommodation for single people, families and sheltered accommodation for older people. We also have a number of homes for people with disabilities. We are committed to providing accommodation fit for the future and the support services that people need. Furthermore, Wulvern staff strive to achieve the highest possible standards of service: we want all our customers to want to live in our homes.
Like all other Housing Associations, our performance is monitored and regulated by our governing body – the Housing Corporation. Wulvern Housing is registered with the Financial Services Authority with charitable aims. Wulvern Housing is committed to customer involvement and is working hard to ensure that our customers continue to be involved in the decisions which affect their lives. |
