The Wrekin Housing Trust is Shropshire's largest landlord, with over 12,000 homes across the Telford and Newport area. Our aim is to provide quality affordable homes to rent.
Established in 1999 when homes transferred from Telford & Wrekin Council, The Wrekin Housing Trust is a registered social landlord. We are regulated by the Housing Corporation, a government body that monitors our performance and ensures that we behave responsibly and effectively.
We are managed by a board consisting of five tenant representatives, five councillors and five independent representatives. Board members are unpaid volunteers with the relevant skills and experience to look after the interests of tenants and employees.
The Trust owns and manages houses, bungalows and flats across Telford and Newport. Whether you need a three bedroom house or a one bedroom flat in a sheltered housing scheme, the Trust has something to suit everybody. Our homes are located in convenient locations, close to neighbourhoods, with some available in rural locations.
We continue to invest millions of pounds in updating and improving homes and have committed to spend over £77million in our first five years on a programme of planned maintenance. This includes the installation of new kitchens, bathrooms, central heating, as well as window and external door replacement and complete property refurbishment. Tenants are involved throughout the process and are consulted regarding the design and layout of kitchens, bathrooms and window styles. |
