In 1947 Miss Grace Godsal established the non profit making Society to provide accommodation for people of 60 years and over whose personal circumstances prevented them from aquiring a home through private means.
The trustees have responded to changing conditions and entry is currently 55 years.
The Society is a Charitable Housing Association, registered with the Tenant Services Authority and the Industrial and Provident Society, and is a member of the National Housing Federation.
