Watford Community Housing Trust is a new not-for-profit registered social landlord with charitable status, based in Watford and founded on the principles of the Community Gateway model placing tenant and community empowerment right at the heart of everything we do.
In September 2007, we worked in partnership with tenants and leaseholders, who voted to transfer their tenancies from Watford Borough Council (WBC). As a result we own and manage more than 4,700 homes in Watford.
We provide services to 20 local community areas. Listening to, and acting on what tenants say, helps us provide services that meets our tenant’s needs and priorities – now and in the future.
We have a vibrant and growing membership – members are encouraged to get involved as much or as little as they want, at a level they choose and on the issues that matter to them.
Residents living in our local community areas, but not tenants of the Trust, can become associate members to support the work the Trust is doing and get involved in decision making at a local level. |
