The origin of the Trust dates back to the 16th century and, in particular, to three benefactors who were all wealthy Tiverton merchants.
Tiverton Almshouse Trust provides warden-controlled residential accommodation for local elderly people in need. We have 83 almshouses and most of them are located on two sites in Tiverton:
* Greenway Gardens, King Street.
* John Greenway Close, Gold Street.
We aim to provide safe and secure housing to the independent elderly but as our residents get older more support is often required and we pride ourselves in meeting their needs for as long as we can. We are not able to offer personal care but we can help to ensure residents benefit from the various services provided by care agencies and related organisations. |
