Thorngate Almshouse Trust was founded in 1868 by the Thorngate family. It was registered as a charity in its current form in 1981. Registered charity number 226587
Thorngate Almshouse Trust is a Registered Social Landlord and complies with the Government’s Decent Homes Standard. Our regulators are The Charity Commission, The Care Quality Commission and the Homes and Communities Agency.
Our sheltered housing facilities are available to anyone aged over 55 in need of sheltered accommodation, with limited financial resources, and with a connection to the Gosport area. Sheltered housing rents are social rents so are covered by housing benefit for those eligible to it. |
