The Printing Charity, formerly known as the Printers’ Charitable Corporation, is based near Gatwick, where we occupy the first floor of a modern office building at Three Bridges Road, Crawley. The offices themselves have recently undergone a major refurbishment and are bright, airy and in the main, open plan, which allows for good communication between the various departments.
The aim of the charity is to ‘help more people’ and over the last 3 years alone we have given away more than £1million in benefits.
There are many ways The Printing Charity can help. We offer One Off Grants and Regular Financial Assistance of up to £20 per week. We are involved in Print Futures which offers training grants of up to £2,500 to those looking to further their qualifications within the printing and graphic arts industries. We run a nursing home in Buckinghamshire which is heavily subsidised for those residents from the printing trades (up to £100 per week) or £40 per week for nursing home fees anywhere in the UK. We also have sheltered apartments in Bletchley and Basildon – again open to those who qualify with a print background. |
