Tangram is a registered Housing Co-operative. We have 40 flats or houses all on or near Bank Side Street in Harehills, Leeds. They range from studio flats through to four-bedroom family houses. We currently house around 50 tenants and their dependents.
The Co-op is fully mutual which means it is run by the tenants with support from a part-time worker. All tenants are members of the co-operative and have to be voted in at a General Meeting which happen monthly. We are run democratically, and take decisions at General Meetings on everything from the allocation of our properties to how much rent we should pay. As a tenant you enjoy the following advantages: cheap rent, a centrally heated flat or house, a repairs service, the control of being your own landlord, and a friendly and welcoming community that cares for its members. |
