Three of the most successful social housing businesses in the East Midlands have joined together to form Spirita, one of the largest providers of housing and associated services in the region.
The merger of the three founding members of Spirita; Nottinghamshire-based Rushcliffe Homes and Metropolitan Housing Trust Midlands (MHT Midlands) together with the Derby-based Walbrook Group; is expected to bring efficiencies and economies of scale to enable significant reinvestment in homes and services.
Spirita will be able to share good practice and areas of expertise to ensure that new and existing opportunities to develop are enhanced.
The result will be a new organisation dedicated to the provision of improved services and stronger local communities.
Rushcliffe Homes, Metropolitan Housing Trust Midlands and The Walbrook Group will all be trading names of Spirita. There are no plans for immediate radical changes and residents, stakeholders and service partners will continue to deal with many of the same staff and offices as Spirita becomes established.
Spirita Limited is a registered social landlord with charitable status and is part of Metropolitan Housing Partnership. |
