Sovereign is one of the 20 largest social housing landlords in the country and a main provider of affordable housing across the south and south-west of England. Our members currently own and manage around 33,000 homes, working with a range of local authorities and other partners.
We strive for excellence in everything we do and focus on achieving results. Our success gives us the opportunity to influence our partners and stakeholders and in doing so to shape the future of the sector.
Sovereign was set up in 2005 by its two founding members - Sovereign South+West and Sovereign Twynham. We were later joined by Sovereign Vale in April 2007, and amalgamated with Sovereign Kingfisher in July 2009.
Sovereign was established to provide financial and business support services to its members. The growth of the business has allowed us to work collaboratively and combine expertise to jointly become one of the largest RSL's in the UK, while continuing to improve services on a local level. |
