|
Following consultation with tenants and leaseholders, the council has decided that the new landlord should be an independent stand-alone landlord set up by the council which would concentrate just on the housing needs of the district. The new landlord would be a local, not-for-profit registered social landlord (RSL) established just for this purpose.
The basis of the new organisation would be the staff who currently provide the housing service with the council. If transfer goes ahead, the new landlord would take on the ownership and management of the housing. If the transfer does not go ahead, the new landlord organisation would be dissolved. The proposed new landlord is to be called South Wiltshire Homes. |
