Salix Homes manages around 10,500 council-owned properties across Central Salford and the Beechfarm and Rainsough Brow Estates. We're determined to provide you with a fresh and energetic approach to the management of your home – one that is all about results. Our role will cover housing management and renewal services. We will be focusing on you, our customer, to improve the quality of your home and neighbourhood and provide a housing service that really responds to your needs.
By setting up Salix Homes in Central Salford to manage council homes we would be able to receive extra funding from Central Government provided that:
* The council's ALMO bid is approved by Government.
* The council receives tenants' support for its new housing and regeneration ALMO.
* The new organisation proves to Government inspectors that it provides a good quality housing service when it is inspected in mid-2008 – it would need to gain at least 2 star (good) rating before the extra money would be available. |
