Prospect was formed in 1989 at the instigation of several local organisations and authorities who wanted to improve housing facilities for people with learning disabilities and people with mental ill-health.
Prospect is formed as an Industrial and Provident Society and is regulated by the Financial Services Authority. In 1994 it adopted revised rules virtually identical to the modern rules for a charitable housing association published by the National Housing Federation. |
