NCHA is one of the largest locally-based housing associations in the East Midlands, employing nearly 800 staff, managing nearly 7,000 properties and housing 10,000 tenants across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. We have been providing high quality, affordable accommodation since 1973, and whilst we have grown in size over the years, our commitment to meeting the housing needs of a wide range of people remains unchanged.
We offer accommodation on long or short term tenancies to families, older people, single people, couples and people who need care and support in addition to their housing. We are the primary provider of supported housing in the East Midlands Region, with over 1200 bed spaces available for clients with diverse care and support needs. We also have a number of properties available to buy on a shared ownership basis.
We recognise our responsibilities go beyond the bricks and mortar needed to build our homes, so we invest in local communities with initiatives like self build schemes and community based resource centres. We take seriously our commitment to the wider environment through our energy and environmental policies, designed to reduce costs to residents and lessen our impact on the environment.
We believe our strength lies in our internal resources. We have in-house design and development teams, which ensures we procure properties to the highest standards. Our staff receive comprehensive training from our purpose built training centre in Nottingham, which also offers training and NVQ awards for external applicants. |
