Manchester Jewish Housing Association was founded in 1959 by the Manchester Jewish Board of Guardians. A Registered Social Landlord (RSL), it provides housing to the community of Greater Manchester and the Fylde coast of Lancashire. A strong need had been identified at that time for a Sheltered Housing scheme for elderly people, many of whom were enduring great hardship in extremely poor housing conditions. A pioneering development was planned and subsequently delivered and it is in this area of housing for vulnerable adults that the Association continues to specialize.
Manchester Jewish Housing (MJHA) is a Jewish-led housing association, providing sheltered accommodation primarily but not exclusively for the Jewish Community.
Working with local partners, MJHA is committed to providing vulnerable adults over the age of 55 with access to affordable supported housing. |
